Rowan tree's are heavy with berries, and I have already seen a red squirrel caching food at Benmore Botanic Gardens, The Robin has appeared back in the garden after defending his spot, and the weather recently has been pretty much a mixed bag, a few bad days of heavy rain and winds on the days that have been better I have mainly been looking at my Macro photography, after thinking it is really about time I got used to this 60mm macro lens, which is what the above image was taken with, I am pleased with the results so far and will update the latest images at the weekend.
It is now the new season of the Camera Club...... not that I have actually been away from it over the summer, mainly on the Wednesday evenings, So I am already preparing for the club Competitions. "It's not the winning it the taking part" although winning is pretty nice I have to say, Also we are preparing for a small exhibition at Hunters Quay Holiday Park over the September weekend.........it's all go.
With the club's Wednesday getting more structured, rather than turn up and deciding this is what we will do it will be a "planned tutorial" sharing our knowledge with the other members.
Yep you have probably guessed yours truly has been roped into the first one on Macro Photography so that should be fun, I agreed to do it provided I could bring a small friend with me ............... A snail, since most of the marco stuff I like to do is mainly insect, and other forms of wildlife and wildflowers I needed a model that could not run off too quickly although I have read of ways to solve that problem So watch this space and I will let you know how it all went, "hope it will be alright on the night!"
