The following day I got the ferry over to Jersey, where I stayed in an Airbnb, my host Clair was a lovely person, and I was welcomed with a glass of wine, out in the garden, my second day was spent at Jersey Zoo, a place I had long wished to visit and finally I was here, there was so much to see in the zoo for me top of the list was the gorilla's, Jersey zoo should be on the top of any list to visit in Jersey, The evening I spent at the beautiful St Ouen's Bay,
The following day my host took me along to where she walked her dogs and we met up with some of her friends at Beauport car park the views were spectacular, I spent some time wandering along the paths before heading down to St Ouen's Bay and to the Wetlands centre, here I watched the Marsh Harrier's, Lizards, and various butterflies, I decided to take a drive around Jersey and went to Grouville where my nephew was born 50 years ago , there was a lovely view of Gory Castle,
The following day I done a little more exploring, and then took a drive to the Devils Hole, where I took the coastal paths, the views were stunning as I found everywhere in Jersey,
Soon it was all coming to an end so fast, the morning I spent at St Ouen's bay then some time at the Arboretum, and then to Corbieres Lighthouse to watch the sun setting, and of course to take some shots before returning bad to my accommodation and bed,
My ferry was not due to leave until 9pm so most of my day was spent at St Ouen Bay and the wetlands centre,
I really was not ready to leave this stunning island, My ferry was delayed and as I sat at the dock waiting to board my ferry it was with a heavy heart and for the first time in my life I shed a tear to be leaving a holiday destination, there is so much I wanted to see and do but didn't, I will certainly go back.
my last few days were spent back with my cousin Bob and his wife Gina a visit to Bletchley Park, and back to Woodstock and before I knew it I was heading home with some of the most wonderful memories to look back on.
